I hope that you enjoy reading all about The Psychic Cat and the process of making the Psychic Cat album.

When I first started writing Psychic Cat (the album), I wanted to try and capture a spirit of freedom and beauty that I felt was always there, just waiting to be beckoned in, like a hungry ghost, wearing badges and a sweat band heeled boots and an old rainbow peace sign t-shirt. It's eyes, all kaleidascope and dreamy. Not knowing from where it came or where it belonged, just being, here and now and for however long it was welcome.

Our ghost spirit turned out to be a manifestation of a little friend of mine whom I met on Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica , whilst I was in L.A. recording my last album Tigermouth.

I have written this story in two parts, 'Writing Psychic Cat' explains the story behind the album and how we wrote the songs and what they mean to me.

In 'Recording Psychic Cat', I write about working with Dave Mc Cracken and the other musicians involved with the album.
