The first band I joined was called Psycho Drama.

I was 16 and saw this ad in a music mag.

We played around the city centre and I started writing all the songs.

I used to wear a little baby doll dress and biker boots and take this teddy bear on stage, on which I had written obscenities all over and thrash it about on stage.

One time my dad found my defaced teddy bear prop and was really pissed off, I tried to explain that I beat the crap out of it on stage every week as part of my gig but he still saw my act of vandalism as unnecessary and odd.

Psycho Drama didn't last much more than a year but it was a thrill playing gigs and I made a few friends along the way.
